As fully qualified and accredited assessors, Sarcon Surveys Ltd will be able to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The EPC will outline the costs of heating, hot water and lighting in homes and give practical advice on how to cut these costs and reduce emissions.The assessor will record key information that affects the energy efficiency of a property. Besides the floor area, the depth of insulation in the roof will be measured and the type and efficiency of the boiler recorded. The data is entered into a computer that carries out complex calculations to arrive at a result that is easy to read and understand.
The report will also contain energy saving advice to enable the homeowner to reduce household bills. These include general recommendations applicable to everyone and specific points for that individual property. The proposed measures are only recommendations and a guide value to the possible savings is also given.
